Trish Kerrison: Changing Your World Through Writing

The Playwright, 38, Shakespeare Street, Nottingham, NG1 4FQ
Guest speaker and Writer Highway member, Trish, will talk about writing as a catalyst for change, and how writing gave her a whole new way to manage the challenges of life as a long-term carer.
There will be opportunity to take part in a Q/A session after the talk.
A pamphlet of Trish’s poems, ‘Beyond Caring’ has recently been published by Five Leaves and will be available at the event for £7.00 – so do please remember to bring cash to the event.

There is disabled access straight into the room via a fire exit which can be opened for wheelchair users. There is a ramp from the bar to the room and a disabled toilet.
DIRECTIONS: Buses stop on Parliament Street, Mansfield Road and at the Victoria Centre. On foot from the Theatre Royal - walk along Upper Parliament Street towards the Victoria Centre, turn left at South Sherwood Street, then a five-minute walk to the crossroads with Shakespeare Street. The pub is on the corner. On foot from the Victoria Centre bus stop or car park – walk through the Victoria Centre until you come to Millie’s Cookies on the Lower Mall. Turn down the walkway to Mansfield Road, and Shakespeare Street is on the other side of the road. The YMCA is on your right as you walk down Shakespeare Street and The Playwright is a one-minute walk further on.
PARKING: The nearest car parks are Trinity Square Car Park, Q-Park on Chaucer Street, and Victoria Centre Car Park.
