… I was telling my daughter how I initially went into panic mode for over a week - every time 😳 but eventually managed to produce something. A few hours later she forwarded this:

A beautiful spring day, sunshine is pouring through the living room window, highlighting the glass of daffodils, my sleeping (again!) aged dog, but also the layer of dust on the mantelpiece and feathers-leaked-from-a-cushion across the carpet… hey ho, if I sit down to write I’ll have my back to it!!

A million thanks Annie, you made my day. I laughed my head off, each poem was funnier than the next and all true about my cat. Especially Hope is a Thing with Feathers having rescued countless birds from the cage of her jaws. Thankfully, she is getting lazy in her old age. Also loved Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night and Still I Rise.
As well, I appreciated Math Concepts Florida finds Objectionable, having worked in Educational Text book publishing. The US has a state curriculum and we had to delete no end of material, especially in science for the Florida editions. 🐱
