Between The Lines-Issue Ten

Thank you once again, Bobbie, for a terrific edition of Between The Lines!

The dreamy sunset cover by Cath Alwood was delightful.

All the articles were so good and gave us an insight into what other WH members are getting up to!

The review of the writing day at Nottingham Castle by Jill Hopkins and Cath Alwood, together with Keith Holland's report of the tour through Mortimer's Hole, instantly took me back to a lovely, creative day. The weather outside wasn't inspiring at all, but the creativity that happened that day certainly was.

Lizzie Dunford's review of Jan Norton and Roy Haines-Young's pamphlet launch at Five Leaves Bookshop in March took me back to a very special evening. Both Jan and Roy were spellbinding as they read their poems. I was transported and felt very privileged to see poets I know making such great strides forward. I know it's a cliche, but it inspired me as a fledgling poet.

The Breakfast Bards article made me want to join immediately! I just need to give up the day job!

The WH success section was great - so good to flag up how well you are all doing! Congratulations to all!

Jan Porter's pencil collection was amazing! Great photo and awesome poem.

Finally, thank you for such a moving tribute to Hilary South. I couldn't make it to the service (due to work), so I really appreciated reading about how it all went. I didn't know Hilary that well, but when I met her at poetry classes and open mics, her warmth and humanity won me over.

Thank you again Bobbie for all that you do.
