Orbis magazine - an NPS event
On Wednesday, 5th October, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, at Five Leaves bookshop, (14a Long Row, Nottingham NG1 2DH), Nottingham Poetry Society are hosting Carole Baldock, editor of Orbis, an international literary journal, which is celebrating its 200th edition. Carole will talk about her role as Poetry Editor and about the history of the magazine. There will also be guest readers who have previously featured in Orbis.
Carole Baldock is proud owner of 3 children (all in good working order); 2 cats (need slight attention); a BA Hons; a pamphlet, BITCHING, and a collection, Give Me Where to Stand (Headland). Her books include Writing Reviews and How To Raise Confident Children, and she also writes theatre reviews (Northern Soul etc). She has been Editor of Orbis (a renowned international literary journal set up in 1969) for the past 20 years – just celebrating issue 200.
